Recipe FAQs
- → What type of dates work best for this dish?
Large Medjool dates are ideal due to their natural sweetness and soft texture, making them easy to stuff and wrap.
- → Can I use a different cheese instead of goat cheese?
Yes, blue cheese or cream cheese can be substituted for a different flavor profile while maintaining creaminess.
- → How do I ensure the bacon stays wrapped during cooking?
Securing the bacon ends underneath the dates or using toothpicks helps keep the bacon in place while baking.

Adding a toasted almond inside each date before stuffing or drizzling honey or balsamic glaze after baking enhances texture and taste.
- → What oven temperature and time are recommended?
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 18–22 minutes, turning once halfway, until the bacon crisps and browns evenly.
