07 - 12 ounces angel hair pasta

11 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine broccoli florets and whole garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - Roast in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until broccoli is tender with slight charring and garlic is soft and golden.
04 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain pasta.
05 - Transfer roasted garlic cloves to a cutting board and mash finely with a fork.
06 - In a large skillet over medium heat, add mashed garlic, roasted broccoli, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add cooked pasta and toss to combine.
07 - Pour lemon juice and a splash of reserved pasta water into the skillet to loosen the mixture. Stir in Parmesan cheese and toss until the sauce is creamy and well incorporated.
