# What You Need:
→ Chocolate Layers
01 - 7 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
02 - 7 oz high-quality white chocolate, chopped
→ Peppermint Topping
03 - 6 peppermint candy canes or hard peppermint candies, crushed (about 1/2 cup)
→ Optional
04 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
# Directions:
01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or arrange 12 silicone snowflake molds.
02 - Melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth, or use a double boiler.
03 - Stir in 1/4 tsp peppermint extract to the melted dark chocolate if using.
04 - Pour the melted chocolate into molds or spread evenly 1/4 inch thick on the baking sheet. Tap gently to level.
05 - Refrigerate for 15 minutes until set.
06 - Melt white chocolate in a clean bowl using the same method. Stir in 1/4 tsp peppermint extract if desired.
07 - Pour melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate layer, spreading evenly with an offset spatula.
08 - Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the white chocolate and press lightly to adhere.
09 - Refrigerate at least 15 minutes until fully set.
10 - Remove from molds or break into snowflake shapes. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
