01 - 7 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and sliced into 24 cubes
→ Fruit
02 - 1 medium tart apple, such as Granny Smith, cored and finely diced
→ Pastry
03 - 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (8 ounces), thawed
→ Caramel
04 - 1/2 cup thick caramel sauce, homemade or store-bought
→ Nuts (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts

06 - Flaky sea salt, for garnish
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin or line each cavity with a paper liner.
02 - On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 10 x 10-inch square and cut into 24 squares.
03 - Gently press one pastry square into each muffin cup, allowing the corners to extend upwards.
04 - Place one cube of brie cheese in each pastry cup, followed by several pieces of diced apple.
05 - Drizzle about 1/2 teaspoon caramel sauce over the apple and cheese in each cup.
06 - Sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans onto each cup if desired.
07 - Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
08 - Remove from oven and allow bites to cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
