Banana Nutella Folded Wrap (Printable)

A crispy folded tortilla with warm Nutella and sliced bananas, perfect for a quick sweet snack.

# What You Need:

→ Main

01 - 2 large flour tortillas
02 - 4 tablespoons Nutella or equivalent chocolate-hazelnut spread
03 - 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
04 - 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts (optional)
05 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter for frying

→ Garnish (optional)

06 - Powdered sugar for dusting
07 - Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

# Directions:

01 - Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board and cut from the center outward to one edge, dividing it into four quarters.
02 - Spread 2 tablespoons Nutella on the first quarter, arrange half the banana slices on the second, sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts on the third (optional), and leave the fourth quarter plain or add a little more Nutella if preferred.
03 - Starting at the cut edge, fold the Nutella-covered quarter over the bananas, then over the hazelnuts, and finally over the remaining quarter, forming a compact triangular wrap.
04 - Repeat the same filling and folding process with the second tortilla and remaining ingredients.
05 - Heat unsalted butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each folded wrap 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
06 - Dust with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It's faster than waiting for a brownie to bake, and somehow feels more indulgent.
  • The contrast of warm chocolate-hazelnut center with crispy fried edges is genuinely crave-worthy.
  • You can fold this one-handed while your coffee cools, making it dangerously easy to justify eating dessert on a Tuesday morning.
02 -
  • The cut is non-negotiable—without it, you can't fold the tortilla without it tearing or bunching up awkwardly.
  • Don't use a tortilla straight from the fridge; let it warm to room temperature for a few minutes so it folds instead of cracking.
  • Cook over medium heat, not high, or the outside will brown before the Nutella inside has a chance to warm through.
03 -
  • Keep your tortillas in a stack wrapped in a damp paper towel for five minutes before cooking—they'll be more pliable and fold without cracking.
  • If the Nutella is too cold and stiff, microwave the jar for 10 seconds before spreading, and you'll save yourself the frustration of trying to smooth it over a cold tortilla.
