10 - 1 tablespoon finely grated carrot
11 - 2 tablespoons finely diced pickles or cornichons (optional)
12 - 6 thin chive stems or parsley stems (for ornament hangers)
# Directions:
01 - Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes.
02 - Drain hot water, cool eggs under cold running water, then carefully peel shells.
03 - Slice eggs lengthwise, remove yolks into a bowl, and mash with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar or lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
04 - Spoon or pipe yolk mixture back into egg white halves, shaping into rounded ornaments.
05 - Top filled eggs with diced peppers, grated carrot, pickles, and chives to resemble festive ornaments.
06 - Insert a chive or parsley stem at the top of each filled egg to serve as an ornament hanger.
07 - Refrigerate prepared eggs until ready to serve.
